Our Story

Terzian Law Group was founded by Tamar Terzian, a former federal prosecutor.  The group primarily started as a bankruptcy and tax boutique.  Now it is a full service law firm as Richard Terzian joined the firm bringing over 50 years of legal knowledge and experience.  Richard Terzian is a hearing officer for various counties in Southern California and provides mediation services in civil litigation matters.

Tamar Terzian

Mrs. Terzian is the founder and partner of Terzian Law Group, APC. Mrs. Terzian represents a variety of clients ranging from individuals, trustees to small businesses. Mrs. Terzian’s experience includes prominent restructurings in chapter 11 cases, business litigation, representation of creditors committees, debtors and institutional clients. Mrs. Terzian is recognized as Top Attorney 2015 from Pasadena Magazine.

 

Richard Terzian

Since admission to the State Bar of California in 1960, he has continuously been engaged in the practice of law, specializing in the representation of public agencies.  For over forty years, Mr. Terzian has almost exclusively represented local government agencies, in virtually all legal capacities. He has handled complex litigation for public agencies in state and federal court at the trial and appellate level and before local and state administrative agencies in the areas of government operations, constitutional law, civil rights, torts, personnel, contract, and land use matters. During that time, he has also served as the City Attorney of Rolling Hills Estates, Malibu, South Pasadena, and Azusa, participating in hundreds of city council and planning commission meetings. He has regularly rendered advice to public agencies on zoning, planning and other real estate matters. He has also advised clients on public-private partnerships.
